The Rec is located near the centre of Bath right next to the river. There is usually a lively atmosphere in the park behind the ground, with bars and food outlets.

Much of the stadium is open to the elements with no roof and can feel very exposed. On a sunny day take plenty of sun cream, dress up warm if it is likely to be cold, and take waterproofs if rain is forecast.

Getting there

Train

The Rec is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Bath Spa railway station.

There is a regular train service between London Paddington / Reading and Bath Spa. The journey time is approximately 1 hour from Reading and 30 minutes longer from London Paddington.

The station can get very busy after the match. Allow plenty of time to get there and onto the platform, especially if your return ticket is for a specific train.

Coach

The Rec is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Bath bus station.

National Express operate direct services to Bath from London Victoria, and from Reading Mereoak Park & Ride.

Car

For those driving, there is no parking at the Rec – see details on the Bath Rugby website for parking in the city and also for Park & Ride options.

Be aware that Bath gets very, very busy on match days, as do all the roads into the city. Allow plenty of time for your journey.

Match Tickets

Match tickets are available from Bath Rugby.
