Edinburgh Rugby – Saturday 9th December, 7:35pm
Details updated on 28th September
Edinburgh now play their home matches at Myreside, which is to the South West of the city centre.
TRAIN: Virgin Trains East Coast run a frequent direct service from London King’s Cross to Edinburgh. Journey times are around 4 1/2 hours each way – there are no overnight services on Saturday night, so a day trip is not possible.
From Reading there are no direct services to Edinburgh, but routes are available via London or by changing at Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton. Journey times vary between 5 1/2 & 7 hours.
COACH: There is a direct coach service from London Victoria to Edinburgh, however the journey times do not really make this a viable option.
Journeys from Reading would require one of 2 changes, so are even less viable.
AIR: There are numerous permutations for air travel – British Airways fly to Edinburgh from London City, Heathrow & Gatwick; EasyJet from Gatwick, Luton & Stansted; FlyBe from London City and there are a number of options from regional airports.
CAR: There is no public parking available at Myreside with the exception of Blue Badge parking (which needs to be booked in advance). Supporters are advised to make use of the public transport options and match day Park & Ride facilities. There is a Park & Ride service from Murrayfield.
Getting to Myreside: See the Edinburgh Website’s Matchday page for full details on getting to & from Myreside. This page gives details of which buses run close to the ground, nearest railway stations and Park & Ride / Walk & Ride options as well as other useful match day information.
MATCH TICKETS: Match tickets are available from the Edinburgh Ticket Website. It appears the reserved seating is available in the Main (west) stand, unreserved seating in the north & south and standing in the east.
It appears that the seating areas are covered and the terrace is open to to elements.
