On Saturday 2nd March London Irish Wild Geese will be playing Witney RFC at Hazelwood.
Following your responses to our survey we have selected this game as the basis for our 25th Anniversary celebration.
We would encourage members to join us at the pre-match lunch. You can book directly on the LIARFC website. The cost of the two course lunch is £28. The booking system is a bit quirky – first you select the number of guests, and then the event – make sure you select “02/03/24 – Witney”.
Note that this is a rest weekend for the Six Nations. Even if the lunch isn’t your thing, you are more than welcome to come along for the match to join in the fantastic Hazelwood atmosphere, cheering on the Wild Geese.
After the match Paul Bowen will be entertaining us in the clubhouse. We also hope to have some special guests drop in during afternoon.
The legendary 301 Bar will be on site as well as a burger van.
For those of you who have not visited Hazelwood previously there is also an excellent bar in the clubhouse.
Timetable for the day (all timings are approximate):
- 12.00 Bar opens
- 13.00 Lunch
- 15.00 Wild Geese v Witney
- 17.00 Paul Bowen in the Clubhouse
- 17.45 LIARFC raffle and Man of the Match presentation
- 18.00 Paul Bowen
- 18.45 Close
Parking at Hazelwood, entry to the match and clubhouse is free.
Dress code: LISC apparel of any vintage, London Irish shirts (amateur or pro, old or new), anything green. Bring flags, scarves, bodhrans etc. If you are stuck for something to wear, then why not treat yourself to one of our stylish OddBalls hats.
