London Irish Supporters Forum – 5th February 2017

Prior to the home match versus Nottingham, a Supporters Forum was held with a range of supporters and hosted by Bob Casey. As part of the forum the following was discussed:

  • Feedback on this years Matchday Experience, Membership, and Communications were all sought. The club have only had a skeleton staff behind the scenes this season but have recently brought on a new Marketing and Communications Manager to augment these resources.
  • Plans for the St Patrick’s Party was discussed and have now been sent via email to most supporters with a full day of rugby on the big screen and on the pitch.
Initially the West and South stands will be open with the opportunity to open more if ticket sales go well.
  • British and Irish Cup Quarter Final tickets are now on sale – there was an initial miscommunication but the club’s website is now up to date. Members’ seats are held until 14th February and prices for adults £14 Unreserved and £20 Reserved.
Supporters should note that this game, any subsequent British and Irish cup games and the Championship play-offs are not on your Season Membership.
  • Brentford – Bob told us that Hounslow Council will decide the planning application to allow rugby at the new Brentford Community Stadium this Thursday 9th February. However there are still formal proceedings to go through after this, so the club may hold off on any formal announcement. The stadium will not be complete anyway until 2019.
One thing was made clear – that we will definitely be playing at the Madejski Stadium next season (2017-18) and Membership renewals will make this clear.
