Can We Improve Support, both Home and Away?

As we enjoy the summer away from club rugby, whether watching the summer internationals, the World Cup or even tackling all those chores we didn’t do in the Winter, here at LISC we are working hard behind the scenes. That includes committee meetings, emails and meetings with the club including Chief Executive Brian Facer.

One of our key projects is attempting to tackle supporter engagement and hopefully improve this for all supporters – both Home and Away. And that’s where we need you!

Volunteer Required – Away Support Coordinator

One key area we believe we can positively impact away from the Madejski is to emulate our friends at the Saracens Supporters Association. They regularly plan and organise Saracens fans away from home to meet ahead of the match, sit or stand together and to ensure pockets of concentrated noise can be heard.

LISC are looking for someone passionate about London Irish to give a few hours per month to assisting us in emulating such a service;

Researching away grounds, tickets prices and areas for LI supporters to congregate
Looking into potential pre and post match gathering spots – such as local, friendly pubs or social venues
Potentially where possible to look into group ticket deals in order to facilitate groups sitting together and passing on savings to London Irish supporters

London Irish Supporters Forum

London Irish are looking for supporters from every walk of life to join a new Supporters Forum. Some of you will know that in years past Bob Casey held some of these at the Madejski and new Chief Executive Brain Facer wishes to revive these with supporters from every background not just dyed in the wool season ticket holders.

That means we are looking for any London Irish supporter – whether you have a season ticket or just an occasional visitor, whether you are a LISC member or not, – as long as you are;
